Halloween adventures.....

I have a love hate relationship with the holidays.

Love them because of the traditions and the "magic" that starts to come about this time of year.
But I hate them because of the CANDY and FOOD!! And I have eaten WAY to much of it so far!

We started out our Halloween day like any typical day. And then around nap time, I put Bubziee and Baby Boo to bed, and Hubby, Baby Cakes, Suga Bear and I carved our pumpkins. Well, Hubby and I carved the pumpkins....the girls had fun just getting the chance to go outside and play around. Here are a bazillion pictures of the girls having fun....

After dinner I got the kids in their costumes....and oh my word......things went from good to bad really fast. Baby Cakes and Suga Bear were both way too tired as a result of them skipping their nap. Bubziee hated his costume and Baby Boo decided that he wanted to nurse every 30 mins.

We started going from house to house, but about 20 mins. into it, Baby Cakes wanted to go back home to hang out with daddy and have some marshmallows. So suga Bear went with Grandma, and I walked back home with Baby Cakes and Bubziee. Little bubs was DONE at that point, so I got him to bed.

Overall, it was fun despite the chaos of crying and sobbing kids. Its fun to watch them discover and start to understand the holiday's a little bit more each year as they get older. Its also fun to be starting new traditions as a family. One of our Halloween traditions so far is to serve out hot chocolate and smores by the fire. Lover Lips kinda spear heads that whole set up. Its fun and relaxing and who doesn't love smores?!?!

Once Bubziee found out there was candy involved...everything was alright with the world. But only AS LONG as he had candy in his mouth! Otherwise....he was still a bawling mess.

This little guy has it all figured out.
Sleep..sleep....oh, and more sleep!
(unless its 2am in the morning...then he's up forever! Like....now......oh sure...it really is 2am)
