Their not that sneaky.......

I woke up this morning to the sound of Max and Ruby on the t.v. in our bedroom. But that's all that I heard......which is not a good thing in our household! I woke up Eran to ask him where the kids were at, and he shrugged his shoulders. I noticed that the gate leading down stairs was open. "
Shoot!" I thought to myself. "Eran didn't close the gate all the way."
So with baby on hip, I headed downstairs to see what trouble the kids were getting into.

BriAnn was playing a game on the computer....and Emma was standing there watching her. When I said, "Hey, what are you doing?" Emma threw a piece of Beef Jerky that I got for Easter onto the table and shouted, "NOTHING!"
You should have seen her jump. And her face...it was priceless! I stumbled past them, too tired to care all that much that she had just eaten a big portion of the bag.
Thats Emma for ya.

I went back up stairs to beg my sweet husband for 1 more hour of sleep. I used the line of, "you slept so much better than I did, and I let you sleep in 1 extra hour during our sunday nap yesterday." Which, is true. He sleeps like a rock, while I hear every little sound and peep that comes from our kids. Not to mention that i'm a late night snack for the short one.

He agreed to let me sleep for another hour. What a sweetheart!!

BriAnn then came up the stairs with a sugar frosted cookie in hand (you know the kind!) Eran asked her why she had it, and she proudly proclaimed that "mommy said I could!"
Really? I did? 'Cause I don't remember saying that! I'm going to have to nip that lying streak she's on before it becomes a habit.

After my nap.

~**~*~**~*~**~*~**~

Do you let your kids watch t.v./play in their rooms/deprive them of food for 1 hour in the morning so you can get a little more sleep? (especially if your kids woke up at 6am every. day. like. mine.)

And have you heard of "pee shudders?" Easton's whole body occasionally shudders, and I was freaking out about it thinking, "oh my gosh, he's having mini seizures!!!" Until I read about "pee shudders."

Whew! Was I relieved!!

Gotta love google, right?

When it's not a "school day" (headstart) they wake up, come ask for cartoons, I turn on the tv, throw some bowls of cereal at them and then stumble back to bed with the instructions "QUIET" and "SHHHHHHHH" until Sable wakes up. If they are too noisy and wake her up before I feel she should awaken then I am NOT a happy mama.
luvs, aby

PS - if you couldn't guess I am NOT NOT NOT a morning person.
