Chillin' during conference....

We had General Conference at the beginning of the month. All of the talks were so wonderful...but my most favorite talk (at least the one that stuck out the most to me) was called "Unselfish Service" by Elder Dallin H. Oaks. Especially the part where he said, "A familiar example of losing ourselves in the service of others—this one not unique to Latter-day Saints—is the sacrifice parents make for their children. Mothers suffer pain and loss of personal priorities and comforts to bear and rear each child. Fathers adjust their lives and priorities to support a family." He continues on to say..."We rejoice that so many Latter-day Saint couples are among that unselfish group who are willing to surrender their personal priorities and serve the Lord by bearing and rearing the children our Heavenly Father sends to their care. We also rejoice in those who care for disabled family members and aged parents. None of this service asks, what’s in it for me? All of it requires setting aside personal convenience for unselfish service. All of it stands in contrast to the fame, fortune, and other immediate gratification that are the worldly ways of so many in our day."

Here are some pictures of our General Conference weekend at home...

Yes, its true. That is REALLY how BriAnn and Emma talk. Words like stunning, gorgeous, marvelous, etc. are common words during pretend play. And if you remember...Emma's obsession with b-day cakes. Its still a hot topic around here. Today's b-day cake was my plastic cd container.

I'm working on Easter pictures, but the computer that I edit my pictures on isn't working at the moment. What in the heck is up with computer viruses? Who finds joy sitting around creating these viruses and destroying other people's computers? Honestly!!! They need to get a life! (I hate computers sometimes!)
