I just have to say that the past 24 hours have been CrAzy!! And that is an understatement!
Here are a few of the things that I have learned about this journey called motherhood in the past 24 hours....
1. Emma has had a fever for 2 days now, and I very QUICKLY and unfortunately figured out with her that when she starts shaking, she is going to throw up at any second. Yes, thats right......I didn't know she was going to throw up until it was all of a sudden all over me, the floor, and the couch. And I tried to use a plate to catch it all. A PLATE!! Who uses a plate to catch throw up? I gotta say, however, that it was an improvement from using my hand. I quickly figured out with BriAnn that your hand REALLY isn't going to catch the throw up.
2. What may seem as a trial (or an occasional annoyance) may actually turn out to be a blessing sometimes! I woke up this morning to BriAnn sighing at the side of my bed (she sighs over and over again until I am awake.) I rolled over to see what time it was, only to find out that it was 5 am. Ugh! So I stumbled out of bed, put her back in her bed, went for a bathroom break, and then checked on Emma. When I opened her door, she jumped up and wanted me to hold her. Poor Emmy was burning up and was shaking. Now ya'll know what that means, right? I sure remembered! lol. So I ran into our room to grab a bowl (I got it right this time!) and she threw up. When all was calm again, and while I was feeding Ethan, I was pondering about how truly grateful I was for once that BriAnn woke me up in the wee morning hours. If she had not woken me up, I would have been cleaning up throw up at 5 am.
3. I can never leave Emma and Ethan in the living room together alone with the basement door unlocked. I went upstairs to wake up Eran, leaving all 3 kids in the living room for just a moment. Next thing I know, I hear Ethan SCREAMING. I ran down the stairs to find all 3 of them down in the basement. Emma had opened the basement door and Ethan fell all the way to the bottom (and the stairs are not carpeted, nor is the basement even finished. It has kinda turned into Eran's fish workshop for the time being. That is why we try to keep it locked.) It FREAKED me out!!! I don't think I ever ran down those stairs so quickly in my whole entire life. Poor little bubs =O( He seems to be ok...no broken bones or anything.

Bummer. Maybe when Emma saw that big turtle and was shaking, she wanted to throw up. I should have ran with something to catch it but the turtle was between me and her and I was a little afraid too. (Kind of like the big gorilla at the Hogle Zoo scenerio huh) Grandma is a chicken. The shaking-throw up combination is a good thing to know though. I love you all.
ay-yigh-yigh. Wow, I am so sorry Aubre! Don't worry, it's just a season of your life!
I was talking to Eran tonight about the fall down the stairs. I heard you scream Emma's name baby Ethan crying and I was worried for you too! I forgot to ask you about it, until Eran brought it up tonight. I'm glad everyone is okay, I'm sorry that baby Ethan ended up with a big bump.
Glad everyone is healthy again.
