Rumbles in the wee morning hours......

Did anyone else feel the earthquake this morning, or am I the only one who was up at 4:30am? It obviously wasn't very strong since the center of it was so far away. But it was just enough to make the bed shake and have me wondering what in the heck was going on.

On another note, check this out. How crazy is that?

In response to the previous post "Venting Time" - If you aren't getting out of your house on a regular basis BY YOURSELF then you are CRAZY. Tell your hubby that this is something you are going to do, arrange a time and then do it. No joke I would lose my mind if I didn't go out for me time at LEAST once a week for a couple of hours. I'm not saying Jeff LOVES It when I do it, but he knows it's needed to keep me sane and he's getting pretty used to it.
Some suggestions for free (or nearly free) on your own activites:
1. Barnes and Noble. Grab a magazine, a seat in the cafe or a big comfy chair and just read. If you've gotta a couple of bucks also grab a big cookie from the cafe - they are divine.
2. Hobby Lobby. Tour the store ALONE and let your mind wander. It's a sure-fire way to get your creative juices flowing.
3. Nelson-Atkins museum of Art. Totally free and totally awesome.
4. The Plaza. Walk, listen, and look at the people and stores around you.
5. The Movies. Go ALONE. Round up ten bucks and buy a ticket to see something your hubby would never want to see. Go ALONE (truly more awesome than you'd think if you've never done it) Or give me a call and I'll HAPPILLY go with you!

I could go on and on, and on, and on.
Go out, be more happy. It's simple math. You're happy, your kids will be happy, your hubby will DEFINATELY be happy. He just may not realize it at first!

luvs, aby
