First, the issue.
Our kids go to bed at 7pm, and every night before I go to bed (usually mid-night), I change every single kids diaper. Eran never does because he thinks that their diapers don't need to be changed in the middle of the night. And my response is, "I care for my childs comfort. Would you want to sleep in a wet diaper for 10 hours?!" This is a constant discussion that he and I have.
So...Eran wants me to post the following question because he apparently thinks that I am the ONLY mommy out there who changes their diapers at night. (he thinks that about alot of things that I do for some reason....like yelling, or getting mad, etc. etc. love you honey!)
So here is the question....
Do any other moms out there change your child's diaper before you go to bed for the night?

We don't change their diaper unless they wake up. If they wake up for something, then they get a new diaper.
While I totally agree that changing diapers in the middle of the night is necessary for those who are awake, I don't wake my kiddos up for a fresh one. If the little one is prone to diaper rash a lite coating of vaseline and/or a sprinkle of baby powder can help to keep those little tushies dry through the night.
Truthfully, when I'm expecting, I wish that I could strap on a diaper and avoid getting out of bed at 2 am. (For the record... James is reading over my shoulder and wants you all to know that he would not sleep next to me if I was wearing a wet diaper!)
Love Ya!

I don't change their diapers, but you are just a very compassionate mother!
No way! The price for that extra diaper would then have to come out of their college fund! :) I don't think kids care that much or they would ask to be changed more. But then again, it's been a little while since I've had a kid in a diaper.
Wait, are ALL your kids in diapers? Holy moley that is a lot of diapers.
Anyway, I don't like the idea of them sleeping in a soggy diaper all night either - but I tend to forget about it at night. I do however change diapers at night because my kid's are notorious for leaking at night (when they are in diapers). They are powerful pee-ers and poopers and I've had more leaks in beds then I can possibly count. It goes in waves, Sable hadn't leaked for a good long while (luckily not once on our trip to Cali) but then when we got home she started waking up absolutely soaked. I mean from her armpits to her knees. So I've been changing her before I head to bed and that way she doesn't wake up a soggy girl.

THANK YOU ABY!! lol. That is my problem, they will usually wake up dripping everywhere if I don 't change their diapers. And so I thought that it was that way with every child, but...I guess not. And no, BriAnn is the only one who isn't wearing diapers. Emma is almost out of them...but yeah, 3 kids in diapers is alot of flippin' diapers.
well... since i only have a 2 week old i dont really know if my answer counts:o) but so far, i change her right before i feed her in the middle of the night... that way she is a little bit more alert. But i will have to say that i agree with you. If i dont change her, then i've come to find that her diaper gets full of pee, so when she poops it basically explodes :o) SO... im ALL for the midnight changing so far!
well, my boy and girl just don't fill up their diapers all that much overnight, so I don't ever worry about it! Plus, I HATE to get woken up, so why would I wake my kids up in the middle of their sweet slumber for a cold wipe? krikey!
Eran needs to back you up on this one esp since their diapers DO leak all over if you don't change them. My kid's don't. So I don't do it. Amen.
