Birthdays, Anniversaries and throw up galore.

My husband woke up sick to his stomach (we suspect its food poisoning from our yummy Anniversary dinner lastnight. BUMMER!) Which means....not alot happened today. We didn't go to church. Call me a wimp.....but no way could I handle those 4 monkeys in church ALONE right now when they are so young.. Its hard enough when there is just 2 of us! And I certaintly couldn't leave them home with Eran because that is one of the 10 commandments of having a sick husband.
"Thou shalt not leave me alone with any child when I am sick"

I feel really bad for him, I honestly do. I'm having to bite my tounge though and try not to think, "Where is my sick day when i'm sick?"
I'm hoping that if I try and show a little more compassion when he is sick, that he will (oh I hope!) return the favour when i'm feeling alittle under the weather.

It was a busy week in our little household!
We had my birthday (age: i'm not telling!).
Emma's b-day was the following day. My dad's birthday was after that PLUS we celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary! (yeah to us!)

5 years!! That went by too quick!!
And Emma.....she's now in that oh so fun age of 3 (i'm being sarcastic.) I love her to a million pieces, but I don't like 3 year olds.
And this one is a little spit fire!!

We had her birthday party on saturday (thank you mom for helping! Holy cow! I couldn't have done it without you!)
Lets just say....it was the most interesting b-day party to date.

Here are my 10 commandments of a childs birthday party:

1) Thou shalt not throw up.
(yes, she threw up. I'm not sure why. She didn't act sick before OR after she threw up. She just....threw up and then went on with her happy little party. It was so random, weird...and gross. And of course, I tried to catch it w/ my hand. Honest to goodness, after 4 years of mommyhood, you would think I would have learned already that YOU CAN'T CATCH THROW UP!!! IT'S NOT ALL GOING TO FIT IN YOUR HAND!)

2)Thou shalt not fight with your sibling about who is going to open the present.
(ahem, Briann! Its Emma's b-day, she opens her presents)

3) Thou shalt get to play with YOUR presents.
(ahem, again, BriAnn. Taking full ownership of all new toys)

4)Thou shalt not try to shove all of the candy in your mouth at once. Don't. Go. There.
(Ethan! He thinks his mouth can hold the world. And he wonders why he gags when he eats?!)

5)Thou shalt not entice your friends to run around the house with you and scream at the top of your lungs! (Wow....kids can get REALLY loud!)

But hey, I got a cupcake this time! (read here) YEAH!
