Yesterday I went to the doctors for a 3 hour glucose test to check my sugar levels again. That was a loooong 3 hrs! lol. But I brought our laptop with me, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
The whole process takes so long because they give you that nasty drink, and then they draw your blood every hour for 3 hrs after that. So I got the results today, and I am diabetes free! YEAH!! I was hoping that I was since I don't have any of the other symptoms. Plus Eran gave me an AMAZING blessing that everything would be ok. And it is!! So i'm happy!! Happy enough to go and eat some chocolate!! hehe.
But I also found out that my Thryoid levels are way too high. No wonder why I feel like i'm losing my mind. I had this same problem before I got pregnant this time around. High (and low) thryoid levels does some crazy things to you. Such as....every day stresses seem like they are tripled. And you feel like your in this fog. So anyways, they are giving me a lower dose of my thyroid medication, and I will hopefully be feeling more like myself in a few days.
Here are some pictures from the Nauvoo Youth Temple Trip that Eran and I chaparoned in June. It was great to get away with my husband, but hard at the same time. BriAnn and Emma came down with fevers while I was gone, which killed me to be so far away. But my mom did a good job with them, and it was a great, awesome spiritual trip. I also got the chance to learn some new things about my ancestors who lived in Nauvoo at the same time as Joseph Smith.
This was a cool little play that we watched in Nauvoo called "Sunset By The Mississippi". It was HILLARIOUS!
Eran and I in front of the Carthage Jail....
This is the room in the Carthage Jail where Joseph and Hyrum Smith, Willard Richard, and John Taylor was attacked by the mob.
That is the window that Joseph Smith fell out of after being shot....
These are the hole's in the door that killed Hyrum Smith (Joseph's brother).
This is the inner cell that they were kept in for a part of their time there, and where Willard Richard and John Taylor escaped to after the mob left. ...
I took this picture through the bullet hole in the door, looking at the window that Joseph fell out of.
The outside view of that same window.....
This is the burial site of Joseph and Emma Smith, and Hyrum Smith...
Eran took this picture of some of the young men by the burial site....
Here is our group in front of the Nauvoo Temple....
And here is a random picture of our kitchen. This is my favorite time of the day....when the kids are down for the night and the setting sun is shining into our kitchen. It is such a breath of fresh air when I catch it like that!

Oh my, maybe I should have my thyroid levels checked! I'm sure for me it's just the whole transition thing with the new baby, though. Or perhaps it's the fact that Amelia will only sleep for 10 minutes at a time. Argh.
Your nauvoo pictures were awesome. Especially the bullet shot looking at the window. It's been about 6 years since I went there, those pictures help remind me of how spectacular it is!
And your last picture of your kitchen at Sunset, loved it. I miss living on that side of the townhouses, I loved the way the sun hit the house at specific times of the day.
Thanks for your words of encouragement, Aubre. You are a sweetheart. I wish I could be of more help to you! Honestly I don't know how you do it.
Those pictures of Nauvoo are amazing. That is one place that we still haven't gone that I really want to go to. Anyway, I'm so glad that things worked out for you @ the doctor. Pregnancy is such a stressful time as you sometimes just worry about how the baby is developing, but then to add in stress about how you are doing... I can't imagine how you felt. Anyway, I hope everything goes well from here on out. Later!
