Stake Conference with Elder Holland and some old spring pictures....

Yesterday Eran and I got a babysitter and we went to the adult session of Stake Conference. What a treat it was to just sit there with my hubby.....and with no kids to tackle down!

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland from the
Quorum of the Twelve Apostles attended our Stake Conference....and it was amazing at the spirit that was felt as he got up to speak! Before he even said a word, I could feel of his love and testimony for our Savior, and I knew he was an Apostle of the Lord.

He spoke for a good 40 minutes or so, and the main subject of his talk was about enduring trials. There is no way that I can sum up everything that he spoke about with the same spirit that he had as he spoke. But one of my favorite parts of his talk was when he said that even when we are having a hard time and we feel like we can't go any further, that all we need to do is stiffen our shoulders and square our back, plant our feet, face the wind, and just stand there and endure. We don't always have to go further if we feel like there isn't anything left in us to move on. Just stand there, and God and our Savior will help us get through it. It reminds me of my most favorite quote, "Be still, and know that I am God." If They knew how to create the sun, the moon and stars, and if They knew how to create the earth, and each one of us, then They know how to help us get through whatever trial we are facing. He also said that we should always remember to " ENDURE, and save ourselves for happier days." And that we should NEVER get mad at God for our hard times. We knew before we came to this earth that it was going to be hard at times. We signed up for this. And it is during those hard times that God loves us, and is with us, and thinks of us more than ever. We all go through tough times. I seem to especially have those days/weeks/months when my thyroid levels are all messed up. I got a blessing after my thyroid/cancer was removed that said that I would still struggle from the effects of the cancer. And I thought that meant that maybe it would come back or something. But i'm starting to figure out that it meant the struggle that it is to keep my thryoid levels where they should be at. When my levels are all crazy, they really mess me up, and mess up my attitude towards everything.

So anyways, it was truly an amazing talk, and you could tell that Elder Holland has SUCH a great love for our Savior! It was an honor to have him speak in our Stake Conference! And as for the Sunday session conference....I couldn't tell you what they spoke about. The girls were awesome, but Ethan was all over the place! His main goal was to escape! lol. So I didn't get anything out of the talks. He wore me clean out and my back is KILLING me now from trying to keep up with him! But i'm still glad that we went.

Here are some pics from a long time ago. Eran and our friends, the other Barnhart's, have started planting a garden. Well...2 gardens really. One on the side of our house, and one HUGE one behind our house. Eran is enjoying it....I think. It seems like too much work for me! That is one project I wouldn't want to tackle in between tearing down tree's, and plants, and tilling. I gotta say, Eran is work horse! I really admire and love that in him (despite the times I may say that his hobbies and projects drives me nuts! lol) But he works SO hard, sticks through it and gets it done! As for me, I think i'll just stick to my project of creating, growing and protecting our little tiny baby boy. =O)

During this garden project that has been going on, Dan Barnhart (our friend) got poison ivy really bad. Eran thinks he got it too, but not NEARLY as bad as Dan. Tuesday they are going to get some horse manure (yum!), and hopefully have some plants planted soon.

BriAnn and Emma love drawing with chalk! They are such good sisters to each other. I hope Ethan and Easton are the same way! I love my babies so much!

I LOVE this tree in the spring time!!

This is before Ethan knew how to walk. Now...he runs!

Daddy and the girls working on the garden on the side of our house....

Ummm...yeah....BriAnn didn't like the worms so much. But Emma LOVED them!

And this is the garden in the back. It looks so much different now...i'll have to get a more up to date picture.

This video is from earlier today. Who knew Ethan would laugh SO hard at Veggie Tales?! I love it towards the end when he is laughing so hard that he falls over. HAHA!! I love that little boy! He is so stinkin' funny!
